BlackBox G4500
The BlackBox G4500 portable takes power quality analyzers & power monitoring to the next level by utilising the revolutionary PQZIP patent algorithm. The unique algorithm enables you to measure, store & analyze (continuously) waveform signals regardless of their size.
PQZIP inside
- Continuous waveform recording
- Trigger free setup
- 5,000 power parameters @ 1/2 cycle resolution
- Easy deployment
Superior Accuracy
Pioneering measurement method utilizes a dual-range gain of 2 x 16 Bit to yield, a superior accuracy far surpassing IEC 61000-4-30 Class A requirements, thereby capturing the finest details & deviations in Power Quality parameters.
Class A
Far surpassing the highest standards set by the industry, the BLACKBOX device series complies with standards for: aggregations, time clock uncertainty, flagging, and transient influence quantities.
Synched Monitoring
A unique time synchronisation algorithm assures that logged data from multiple units is synchronised & displayed on the same time scale with typical 0.1 ms resolution. Every event on a grid is accurately analyzed for precise root cause analysis, behavior propagation, and traced to its source.

Continuous Waveform Recordings
The G4500 portable power quality analyzer is able to record and store all electrical waveform continuously for more than a year, with no gaps in the data. The G4500 portable power quality analyzer offers a clear and comprehensive picture of the conditions before, during, and after an event.
Compliance & Custom Reporting
The G4500 in conjunction with PQSCADA Sapphire software offers a comprehensive reporting and compliance engine which is able to produce and schedule compliance reports in (printable in .pdf format) to multiple electrical standard’s including IEEE519 2014, IEEE519 2022, EN50160. It also allows for the design of custom report templates meeting the users specific and individual reporting requirements. Reports can be generated manually or on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly schedule. Reports can also be triggered by compliance policy violation or by event occurrence.

Forensic Power Quality Analysis
Thanks to the G4500’s patented PQZIP technology and Cycle by Cycle recording, In-depth and forensic analysis of power quality incidents and issues are simple and intuitive using the PQSCADA Sapphire software. Quickly investigate the causation of events, trips, outages and component failures by comparing power trend charts from the available 5000 power parameters to a single measurement point and time simultaneously. Drill in at up to 1/2 Cycle resolution allowing for precise and accurate fault finding and diagnosis.

Harmonics & Inter-Harmonics Analysis
The G4500 portable power quality analyzer has two FFT engines for harmonics analysis: Cycle by Cycle: performs FFT at 1 cycle resolution for extended bandwidth. This engine provides 512 harmonics order at 50Hz resolution. 10/12 Cycles: performs FFT 10/12 cycles resolution for extended resolution and sub-grouping calculation. This engine provides the magnitude and angle of 512 spectrum components at 5Hz resolution.
Comprehensive Event Mechanism
The G4500 portable power quality meter is designed to detect any event occurring on your system. The mechanism allows you to configure events on any measured parameter (more than 1,000) and/or I/O ports. The event mechanism supports out-of-limit events as well as rate of changed limits. The G4500 analyzer is capable of recording waveform signals continuously. The event configuration doesn’t trigger the recording but rather stores summary logs including start and end time, duration, severity and magnitude of the event. All events can be displayed in a tabular or scatter charts as CBEME/ITIC.
